Booking

What is the minimum stay at Theta Skyros?

The minimum stay is four nights. We've found four nights is the shortest window in which guests truly decelerate — anything less, and the island never fully takes hold.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Cancellations between 30 and 14 days before arrival are refunded at 50%. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable, but we'll work with you to reschedule whenever possible. Specific terms are confirmed in writing with each booking.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is arranged personally with each guest, coordinated around the arrival of your flight or ferry — we keep it flexible so you don't sit waiting with luggage. Check-out is at 11:30. If you have a late afternoon return, we can usually hold your bags at the property until you leave.

Reaching the island

How do I reach Skyros from Athens?

Two routes: by air, with a 35-minute Sky Express flight from Athens to Skyros National Airport (the property is a 15-minute drive away); or by sea, with a ferry from Kymi on Evia (about a 90-minute crossing). We can arrange private transfers from the airport or the port — please mention this in your inquiry.

How close is the beach?

The property sits at the quiet end of the Molos–Girismata bay. The nearest stretch of golden sand is a short walk down — roughly five minutes on foot — and continues for several kilometres along the shore, with two simple seaside tavernas at the far end.

Can you arrange airport or port transfers?

Yes — we can pre-arrange a private transfer from Skyros National Airport (about 15 minutes from the property) or from the port of Linaria (about 25 minutes). Mention your arrival flight or ferry in your inquiry and we'll quote a fixed price; payment is settled directly with the driver on the day.

Amenities

Are the pools really private?

Yes — each suite has its own enclosed pool, not visible from the other suite or from public areas. The pools are unheated and stay refreshingly cool through the Aegean summer. They're chlorinated automatically every day and cleaned twice a week by our maintenance team between 06:00 and 07:00.

Is there parking at the property?

Yes — free private parking is available on-site for one car per suite. The driveway is paved and the property is easy to reach by rental car; we share precise directions and a pinned map a few days before arrival.

What's the Wi-Fi and in-room tech setup?

Each suite is connected via Starlink, with consistently fast satellite-grade speeds even at peak times — comfortable for video calls and 4K streaming. You'll also find a Smart TV with an attached Mini Projector for Netflix, YouTube, or screen-mirroring from your phone, and a Google Home Mini for music. The Wi-Fi password is left on a card in the suite on arrival.

Your stay

When is the best time to visit Skyros?

May, June, late September and October offer the calmest experience — warm sea, fewer visitors, and gentle light. July and August are peak; expect lively beaches and a fuller island calendar. We're open from mid-May to mid-October.

Are children welcome?

Yes — children of all ages are welcome. Each suite is set up with one double Cocomat bed and one single Cocomat bed, sleeping up to three guests in total. We don't add folding beds, travel cots, or extra mattresses, so please factor the existing beds into your plans. The private pools are unfenced, so guests travelling with very young children are asked to supervise closely.

Are there quiet hours at the property?

Yes — we follow the Greek island custom of two quiet windows: a mesimeri (siesta) period from 15:00 to 17:30, and an evening window from 23:00 to 07:00. Music played at low volume on a phone or the in-suite Google Home Mini is welcome any time; speakers at higher volume only outside those windows.

Policies

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is permitted only in the outdoor areas — not inside the suite and not next to the pool. An ashtray is provided on the terrace.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement — please mention your dog or cat in your inquiry so we can confirm and prepare the suite accordingly. There is no extra charge.
